A winter of stories, journalling and remembering the wild woman within.

The nights are drawing in. There’s a part of me that loves this turning of the year. The invitation to come inside, light the fire, pick up a good book and listen a little more closely.

This winter, I’d love you to join me.

Women Who Run With the Wolves by Clarissa Pinkola Estés is a book I return to. To remind me of the wild woman. The magic and medicine within us. The parts of ourselves that can become harder to hear when we’re busy getting on with life.

Through myths, fairy tales and stories, Estés explores the instinctive, creative nature of women. Reading it, I find myself remembering things I somehow already knew, but had forgotten to trust.

And each time I return, something different catches my attention. A story I barely noticed before suddenly feels relevant. I’ve changed, and there’s something else there for me to see.

Pull your chair a little closer.

We’ll spend the winter reading this book together, one chapter a week.

On Wednesday evenings, we’ll meet on Zoom for journalling and discussion, exploring the stories and what they bring up for us. Where do we recognise ourselves? What speaks to this particular point in our lives? What might we be ready to listen to?

I’ll guide our time together, with room for your own reflections and for the discoveries that happen when women gather around a story and begin to talk.

Come as you are

You might be in the middle of a change. You might be feeling a pull towards something you can’t yet name. Or perhaps you simply want to spend some of your winter evenings with a beautiful book, thoughtful conversation and a little time that belongs to you.

You’re welcome whether this is your first encounter with the book or your fifth. There’s no need to arrive with a clever interpretation. Bring your book, a notebook, something warm to drink, and yourself as you are.

From the drawing in to the first signs of spring.

We begin on Wednesday 18 November 2026 and finish on Wednesday 17 March 2027, on the threshold of the spring equinox.

Sixteen weeks of reading one chapter a week and gathering, with a pause over Christmas. A thread to follow through the darker months, as we make our way towards the returning light.

  • Sixteen Wednesday evening gatherings, 7–8.30pm UK time, on Zoom.
  • Guided journalling and discussion, exploring one chapter each week.
  • Recordings available if you can’t join us live.

We’ll take a Christmas break on 23 and 30 December, returning on 6 January. You’ll need your own copy of Women Who Run With the Wolves by Clarissa Pinkola Estés.

I’d love to spend it with you.
