The Throat Centre in Human Design

The Throat Centre in Human Design is responsible for communication, storytelling, speaking and being heard, writing and bringing the formless into form.

Take a look at your Human Design chart (or create yours here).

If the Throat Centre is coloured in (it doesn’t matter what colour it is, as long as it’s not white), this means you have a DEFINED Throat - as in the image above.

If the Throat Centre is white, but has some of the gates (numbers) coloured in, that means your Throat Centre is UNDEFINED.

If the Throat Centre is white and has NONE of the gates coloured in, that means your Throat Centre is OPEN.

For the purposes of this article, we’re going to treat the UNDEFINED and OPEN Throats the same.

Here’s some of the ways mis-alignment in the Throat Centre can show up:

  • Being afraid to be visible so keeping yourself small at home and at work

  • Struggling to bring the ideas you have into form and put them out into the world

  • Not being heard even when you try to speak - it’s like you’re invisible

  • Worrying that you’re not getting traction with your social media - where are all the likes and engagement?

  • Finding yourself doing all sorts of crazy shit to gain attention and recognition/ hiding because you’ve given up trying

  • Feeling a pressure to speak /write/create when you don’t have anything to say

  • Receiving pushback when you use your voice

  • Knowing you’re here to speak your heart and truth out into the world, but finding that you’re not.

  • Noticing you repeatedly literally lose your voice

I am running two workshops in January: Align her Voice to focus solely on the Throat Centre in Human Design and how to bring this into alignment.

Take a look here - I’d love to meet you there.
